The 2008 Round Britain Offshore Powerboat Race

>> June 22nd With 6 to 9 meter wave height in the Bristol Channel forecast, today’s racing leg has been cancelled. The fleet is now headed by road to the next port of call Milford Haven. Boats that decide to go by sea will leave Plymouth at an EDT of 6.00 am tomorrow. There will then be a second start from Milford Haven for the Bangor leg. The race from Milford Haven to Bangor will start later than advertised.

    Having a great time on the Round Britain Race, three hours each day in the helicopter is begining to take its toll on my shoulder blades though. 41 boats started the sixth leg today into Edinburgh and the Goldfish guys from Norway are still doing the business. Just a short 115 nm hop to Newcastle tomorrow, before a 205 nm onto Lowerstoft.
